OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT PROTECTION

HVAC Surge Protection Installation

Help protect HVAC equipment from brief voltage spikes. Ask about adding protection during maintenance, or request a separate installation.

Quoted After Equipment Review

We check voltage, device compatibility and installation location before quoting. The device, labor and any visit charge are confirmed separately. This is not whole-home protection or a guarantee against electrical damage.

WHAT A USEFUL VISIT DOES

Maintenance should produce information—not a sales pitch.

The items below are common inspection points, not the service agreement. The exact checklist and exclusions are confirmed for the selected equipment before booking; corrective work is always separate.

01

Controls & operation

Thermostat response, operating sequence and accessible controls.

02

Airflow & filter

Filter condition, accessible blower and obvious airflow restrictions.

03

Equipment checks

System-specific electrical, temperature and operating observations.

04

Water management

Accessible condensate drain, pan and safety components where present.

GAS FURNACE

Heating-season visit

  • Thermostat response and operating sequence
  • Ignition, burner operation and accessible safety controls
  • Filter, accessible blower condition and obvious airflow restrictions
  • Accessible venting condition and recorded findings

Flame-sensor cleaning, combustion analysis, repair parts and vent corrections are included only when the confirmed visit scope says so.

CENTRAL AC

Cooling-season visit

  • Thermostat response and cooling operation
  • Visible indoor- and outdoor-coil condition
  • Accessible electrical observations and airflow indicators
  • Accessible condensate drain, pan and safety components

Coil washing, drain clearing, refrigerant diagnostics and corrective work are separate unless the confirmed visit scope includes them.

DUCTED HEAT PUMP

Heat-pump maintenance

  • Heating and cooling changeover
  • Visible indoor- and outdoor-coil condition
  • Defrost operation and backup heat where present
  • Filter, airflow, electrical and condensate observations

Refrigerant work, deep cleaning, electrical repair and backup-heat repair require separate approval.

MINI-SPLIT

Outdoor unit + indoor head

  • Filter and accessible indoor-coil condition
  • Accessible blower-surface condition
  • Outdoor-unit operating and coil condition
  • Visible condensate path and operating observations

Deep cleaning, heavy-contamination treatment, cassette or concealed-unit access and drain repair are separate services.

NOT INCLUDED IN A STANDARD TUNE-UPRepairs, parts, refrigerant or leak work, chemical/deep cleaning, duct cleaning and difficult-access work.

If any of these are recommended, you get the finding and price before additional work proceeds.

SYSTEM NOT RUNNING NORMALLY?

A tune-up is not a diagnosis.

No heat, no cooling, water leaks, frozen coils, burning smells or a system that will not start belong on the diagnostic path.

BEFORE YOU REQUEST

Clear boundaries make maintenance useful.

Is the maintenance price the final price?

The listed amount applies to the stated scope and standard-access equipment. When inspection identifies difficult access or work outside that scope, HVAC PM confirms any additional price before the additional work begins.

Does maintenance include a repair or replacement part?

No. Preventive maintenance covers the confirmed maintenance scope. Diagnosis, repairs, parts, refrigerant work, chemical or deep cleaning and other corrective work require separate approval.

What if the system is not heating or cooling?

Choose diagnostic service instead of a tune-up. Service call and diagnostic is $180 for the first hour; the repair itself is priced after the problem is identified.

Do I need an HVAC PM account?

No. Existing customers use the Jobber Client Hub. New customers submit their first service request through Jobber, and HVAC PM confirms the appointment. There is no separate HVAC PM username or password.
